From the Study Tools menu, select 'Upload', and choose any PDF, image of handwritten notes, or text document.

TutorMate reads the document and identifies key concepts, definitions, and relationships. From there, you can generate flashcards (term/definition pairs and concept questions), a mind map (a visual hierarchy of how concepts relate), or both.

Flashcards generated this way are added to your spaced-repetition deck automatically, so they'll resurface for review at intervals proven to improve retention.

Mind maps are interactive — clicking any node opens a short explanation, and you can ask the tutor to expand on any branch directly from the map view.

This works best with source material that has clear structure — textbook chapters and lecture notes tend to produce better results than dense walls of text.
